How Do I Certify my VA-Sponsored Benefits?

We know that navigating your benefits can sometimes be confusing. That’s why we’re making some improvements.

What’s Changing?

Starting in Fall 2025, 91̽»¨ will move to an opt-in certification model. This means:

• Students must complete an online request form each term they want to use their VA education benefits.
• This form lets us know which courses to certify and confirms your intent to use benefits that semester.
• We will no longer automatically re-certify students based on prior enrollment.

Why the change? In the past, we auto-certified returning students and accepted Certificates of Eligibility (COEs) by email. While this approach worked for a time, it led to delays and confusion—especially when students made schedule changes or chose not to use benefits. The new process puts you in control and helps our team serve you more efficiently.

• Faster turnaround times and fewer errors
• Clear communication from our certification team at each step of the way
