Additional details regarding the commencement ceremonies (including the RSVP form to participate) are coming soon. If you need a commencement exception, please follow these instructions.

All students are required to complete a graduation application well in advance of their projected graduation date. Students should consult their academic coach or advisor before submitting their application. Please note that the content of the commencement program is driven by your application for graduation. Application deadlines for graduate and undergraduate students are as follows:

• Spring 2026 Semester: The deadline was Nov. 15
• Summer 2026 Semester (can participate in Fall): The deadline is Apr. 1
• Fall 2026 Semester: The deadline is May 1

Graduate Commencement To-Do List:

REGALIA (Caps and Gowns)

The deadline to purchase regalia in store is Friday, May 8 during business hours (9 a.m.–5 p.m.) Contact Viking Outfitters at vikingoutfitters@csuohio.edu or visit the store inside the Student Center with any questions.

Students should arrive at their commencement ceremony fully dressed in their regalia, which includes:

• Cap (mortar board) with tassel
• Gown
• Hood (masters students - doctorate students will receive their hood at the ceremony)
• Honors medallion (if applicable, undergraduate only)
• Cords and/or stoles (if applicable, optional)

HONORS MEDALLIONS

Undergraduate students who have earned at least 30 credit hours (excluding alternative credit) in residence at 91̽»¨ and who have earned a cumulative grade point average between 3.30 and 4.00 (calculated to two decimal places unrounded) are eligible to graduate with the following honors:

• 3.30-3.59 Cum Laude
• 3.60-3.79 Magna Cum Laude
• 3.80-4.00 Summa Cum Laude

Eligible students will receive notification via email with pick-up instructions. If you are unable to pick up your medallion by Friday, May 8, there will be an honors medallion station at the Commencement ceremony once you enter via Gate C. You must be on the list to receive your medallion.
